Uptown

The actual City of Charlotte is known as ‘Uptown’. Here you will find headquarters to companies like Bank of America, Duke Energy, and Wells Fargo. It’s also where Charlotte sports teams the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Charlotte Knights play. The countless museums, theaters, restaurants, hotels, sporting events, high end sky-rises, and more make Uptown a popular spot for everyone! During the week, Uptown is bustling with the work crowd, but on the weekends it plays host to foodies, history buffs, and theater goers. There is never a dull moment in Uptown!

South Park

If you enjoy shopping until you drop, the SouthPark neighborhood has everything you need. One of the most notable features of SouthPark is The SouthPark Mall boasting 1.8 million square feet of retail, restaurants and more. SouthPark is a residential area, as well as one of the largest business districts in Charlotte. A great place to work, shopping, schools, healthcare, and restaurants, the neighborhood of SouthPark has it all! The neighborhoods are elegant, established, and nestled away with wooded lots and tree-lined streets. Whether you want to avoid traffic or you want to raise a family in a semi-urban atmosphere, SouthPark is a wonderful place to call home.!

Myers Park

Myers Park is one of the most historic and reputable neighborhoods in Charlotte. The prestige of the Myers Park neighborhood is what many locals know as an area of fine homes, tree-lined streets, sidewalks, and home to many of the Queen City’s wealthiest residents. Nearby you’ll find the 98-acre “Central Park” of Charlotte, Freedom Park. From a 7-acre lake and paved trails to athletic fields and beautiful scenery, the park is a favorite of joggers, sightseers, and families. If you enjoy running, walking, or being outdoors, Myers Park is the perfect place to take a stroll and get in some miles. The Booty Loop has become one of the best routes in Charlotte due to its traffic-free intersections and scenic route.

Dilworth

Dilworth is one of most charming neighborhoods in Charlotte. Located right outside of Uptown, you get access to city life as well as suburban living. Fun fact: Dilworth is Charlotte’s first streetcar suburb! Dilworth’s streets are lined with bungalows, mature oak trees, sidewalks, houses with great front porches, and more! This very walkable neighborhood is extremely desirable mostly because of it’s beauty mixed with it’s proximity to Uptown. Be sure to take a stroll down East Boulevard and check out some of the many boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants that Dilworth has to offer.

Ballantyne

Ballantyne is an upscale neighborhood in South Charlotte. Conveniently located near the South Carolina border, Ballantyne has grown to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the area. There is a good mix of corporate parks and family friendly activities. It’s a great destination for golfers as well – boasting numerous courses nearby. While this mini-city tends to do its own thing, most residents appreciate the fact that Uptown is just 20 miles north. Sidewalks and bike paths offer easy trips to dining, shopping, and recreation without long commutes and with less bustle than Uptown.

NoDa

Short for ‘North Davidson’, NoDa is the popular arts district in Charlotte just NorthEast of Uptown. What was once an area of textile manufacturing and mill workers, now serves as a center for arts. NoDa has become a popular spot to live in recent years with its close proximity to downtown and vibrant community atmosphere. The area has quickly a very popular place to live, work and play thanks to its’ walkability and its many music events, restaurants, and art galleries in the neighborhood.
